Besides providing means of food security TSRD helps the individuals and the communities through capacity building programmes and skill development trainings alternative livelihood options to people in its project areas through agricultural and horticultural programmes. Vegetable cultivation, fruit orchards and grain banks in the project areas has been successful practices resulting in establishment of successful models of development.

Advocacy and networking in the project areas through Orissa Adivasi Adhikar Abhijan (OAAA) & protection of interest of dalits and the poor is a major commitment of the organization. Information dissemination, discussion and promotion of action for realization of objectives is followed up through CBOs, WOs and POs at local and regional level through circulation of news letters and interactions.

TSRD is committed to promote gender equity and equality in all its programmes and activities by ensuring and enhancing women’s and men’s equal participation in the sustainable development process towards a dignified quality of life, transformation of the Society with realization of full potential of both the sexes. 1/3rd of our committed workers constitute the women face of the organization.
